This sensational duo are your Fashionistas of February! They come all the way from Southampton, London. I had the chance to interview these lovely ladies via Skype and ask them questions that you guys wanted to know.
Taking the fashion world by storm, Nikki Striebel, a 22-year-old entrepreneur and management major of Clark University uses designer vintage items to add to her collection line. I had the chance to have a little skype date with this beautiful, ebullient lady and ask her about Avec Lux, which became such an outstanding project of hers.
Magic atmosphere at Angelos Bratis' show during the 4th day of AltaRoma fashion week. His style full of classicism is a union between haute couture and pret-a-porter, a new way called "demicouture".
For his FW collection Angelos realized silk dresses in pastel colours, geometric coats realized in faux fur, tweed and cashemere almost all in grey tone. For the evening the dresses become more precious, long and trasparent. Angelos works his form directly on the mannequin to create a fashion of 360 degrees.
Angelos Bratis is the winner of the first prize in Who Is On Nex? 2011 competition. After his MA studies in Fashion Institute Arnhem, in Netherlands, he collaborated with fashion houses in Paris and Rome before establishing his own line in 2005. Has presented his collection in fashion weeks around the globe from New York to Paris, Amsterdam, Rome and Athens.
At S/S 2012 collection, Valentino showed us the perfect, delicate, grateful looks. Lace, see-though, high neck, flat shoes, tight hair are seemed as the keys of the season. The point of the makeup is eyeline emphasized the corner of the eye which is not too slit but rather thick and shaded off a little. The pictures showed that the impact of the makeup goes with the dresses which are cream color, floret printed completely.
Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2012 Couture was all about beehives, winged black eyeliner, and a fifties flavor- It was all about Amy Winehouse. Every piece spoke of Amy somehow, and was styled to perfection- all the silhouettes were inspired by her unique style and tiny waist, creating this feeling that the only thing missing was Amy herself.
An elite of models accompanied with a bright color palette and asymmetrical necklines created a magical atmosphere. During the finale, the models ‘paraded’ in bright-colored veils (I’m yet to figure out the meaning of this), it was all sexy and, of course, very Gaultier.

Are you loving the tv series PAN-AM? Karl Lagerfeld too. For the Chanel haute couture Karl Lagerfeld has decided to develop his show inside a plane: comfortable seats with electronic numbering, real windows, and charming flight attendants who served champagne to the guest or we should say to the passengers. All clothes represented the colors of the sky, from a sky blue to the dark of the night; the texture of the clothes shifted from classic boucle tweed into glitter-threaded denim to suggest a starry sky, and then into layers of opalescent pebbles that resembled a moonscape. Throughout, the silhouette was lean and curveless, with straight up-and-down dresses whose wide necklines almost matched the width at the hips. Anyway clothes were closer to the pret-a-porter than the haute couture because Karl always wants to astonish us or maybe because in these days he going to lunch his pret-a porter label "Karl".
Many Asian models are widening their spheres in fashion around the world. 19year-old Japanese model, CHIHARU is one of them. After her drastic haircut, CHIHARU began to catch the eyes of many well known designers. Her hair style changed from the usual natural long hair to a more bobbed look making her the next Japanese “it” girl walking the runways along side Japanese top models, AiTominaga and Tao. Eyes with long slits on the outer corners, jet-black hair, and an outstandingly well proportioned body CHIHARU holds us spellbound.
We might be close to the end of January, but theamazingness of one of my favorite brands with their January Catalogue is beyond any calendar month. The best part? The photography is simplyoutstanding and well, Karlie Kloss, and it's shot in New York! What's not to love about this?
Yet, Free People happens to be insanely expensive sometimes, so I reviewed the catalogue and selected a three must-have items this season, all under $150 dollars.
The first is this gorgeous pullover/jumper. You can certainly find cheaper alternatives at Forever21, but this happens to be quite unique. It has a beautiful and pronounced v-neck and slightly oversized sleeves- perfect combination. Wear it how it's stylized in the photograph, or go a little funky with it. It's so perfect, it will look great with almost anything.
