Album Review: Joss Stone's Soul Sessions, Vol. 2

If you're familiar with Joss Stone's music, then you know that 'Soul Sessions' is a great title for any album of hers. However, if you've never heard her work and you guess it's soulful, then you'd be right (and Captain Obvious!). 

On July 30th, Joss released The Soul Sessons, Vol 2, which is her sixth studio album. 

Channeling your inner hippie is exactly the right thing to do when you're listing to Stone. She'll take you decades back to different place with her music, yet keep you very much in the present at the same time. For example, "(For God's Sake) Give More Power To The People" could be about the revolution America was facing in the 60s, but it could also be about the situation our country is in today. 

However, that's not all she sings about. This album features slow love songs like "I Don't Want To Be With Nobody But You" and "The Love We Had (Stays On My Mind)".
