INSPIRER.NU MILAN FASHION WEEK DAY 1 : FURLA PRESENTATION

                                              Essential, modern, elegant.

For autumn-winter 2011/2012, the Furla woman chooses the retro style and feminine rigour of lines inspired by the 1950s, but with an ultra-contemporary twist. The past and present meet in a collection that blends classic and modern, geometry and colour, soft materials and clean lines.

In accordance with tradition the handbags - small or medium in size - have double handles of refined design, but are also embellished with zips and studs that highlight their character and clean lines. Meanwhile, the straps, which always come with a flap pocket, toy with their versatility: worn over the shoulder, they set off the most casualdaywear to perfection, when carried as a clutch bag (softly twisting the strap onto the wrist) they become the ideal accessory for a formal look or to complement a cocktail dress. In this game of opposites attract, the colours are light and bright, igniting precious materials with rich textures such as pony skin, Mongolian sheepskin, ostrich leather and deerskin.

The colour palette is vibrant and intense, with points of pure colour- highly unusual for the winter season. They range from off-whites – similar to milk and ice – and pastel nuances,to an explosion of very warm tones such as orange, red and brilliant burgundy: a glimpse of springtime in a highly evocative collection.Defining the style are original finishes and unique stylistic solutions: patchworks of materials, blocks of pure colour, contrasting details and handles, emphasizing the clean design and femininity of the collection.
