At only 19, Maya alias Cyndle  Grey, oscillates between her life as a student and creative activities like her online website where she customizes shorts and t shirts.

To better explore her world, we asked her some questions.

Who are Your favorite designers?

I'm not ashamed to admit that I adored Miley Cyrus's line of clothing in her partenership with Max Azria.My favorite stores include the styles of Free People and Anthropology too.

 

which are some of your favorite pieces in your collection?

I adore the graffiti shorts, animal print maxi, and the denim vests and jackets, Although I would say my best products are my shorts. 

Your inspirations? 

The style and individuality that you find in Harvard sq, Cambridge (right outside of Boston) inspires me to make clothes that are slightly different and out there, not typical suburban attire which all looks the same where I live. I also get inspiration from sketching and collaging from National Geographic articles. Old school music like the Beastie Boys always gets my creativity pumping too haha. I like that it makes me think outside of the box and gives my clothing a vintage, 90s inspiration.

 

How would you define your universe? 

My universe is very spiritual although I do not subscribe to any particular religion. It expands beyond where I've been and who I've met to people I see in pictures half way around the world.
