Wildfox Swim 2013: Diamonds are Forever

Wildfox Swim 2013 is the second swim wear collection for LA based label, Wildfox Couture. Since 2007, Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon have delivered countless collections of street style clothing that have developed quite the ‘it girl’ following. However it’s not just the pieces that do the talking for Wildfox, it’s also the way they are captured in campaign photographs and who is wearing them that have made the brand synonymous with the who’s who of street style dressing.

Wildfox Swim 2013 is no exception, with the campaign being shot by renowned ‘cool’ photographer, Mark Hunter, and features the beautiful Cintia Dicker as a bond spy – aptly reflecting the collection’s title, ‘Diamonds are Forever’.

The collection is a throwback to the 60’s. Pieces feature ruffle trimmed bottoms, figure flattering tops, reversible black and white sets, florals, stars, high waists, high necks, and baby pinks. The Union Jack and American flag also feature on pieces throughout the collection, as well as different sayings and quotes that reflect a typical summer vacation. Many of the styles are printed across both one pieces and separates, meaning everyone will find something that suits them in the style they love.

Cintia Dicker is the perfect choice of model for the campaign, her flaming red hair epitomizing the 60’s bombshell and all American girl. Mark Hunter has reflected the pieces perfectly, with the location, props and vintage style photos making the campaign read almost as stills from a James Bond movie.

Once again Wildfox Couture have shown why they are a cult label amongst the fashion savvy, and I’m sure girls will be itching to get themselves into this collection come summer!
