Fashion Against AIDS
H&M will be releasing their fifth annual collection to raise awareness against AIDS in 300 stores and their e-store (where available) on April 26th. Twenty-five percent of all proceeds will be going towards international youth charities like Designers Against Aids, Staying Alive Foundation, and YouthAIDS.
The collection joins patterns and designs made in collaboration with international artists in hopes of creating a 'global style' and fashion-forward feeling.
Not only does H&M hope to raise awareness to AIDS, but with their 'controversial' (as the group One Million Moms would describe) ad-campaign hopes to draw attention to the equality of same-sex couples. Photographed by Dan Martensen, the campaign features several same-sex couples kissing.
In addition, the H&M website now features a small campaign dubbed 'Make Out For A Cause'. Following their ad campaign theme, simply upload your 'make out picture' and H&M will be donating a dollar for every entry!
Fashion uniting for causes like this is something we hope to see more of in the future.
